Remember to always make sure that your outdoor pets have plenty
of fresh water and shade. The summer months here in AZ can be grueling on a pet. Do not leave your pet(s) in your
car, even just to run in quickly to do an errand. There have been several deaths already this summer because an owner
was careless with their pet(s) by leaving him/her in the car.
Did you know that the temperature in your car can reach 120 degrees in the summer. Some owners think
by cracking a window or having tinted windows will give the animal enough ventilation....it does not.
If I see a pet in a
hot car, I will go inside & have the owner paged to come out. However, if it is at a mall, which in most cases it
is, I will call the police or humane society to get this pet out immediately.
Think about this: Would you leave your
child in a heated car? Then why on earth would you leave your pet?
